EGMORE MUSEUM

On March 20, 2024, we planned an educational outing to the Egmore Museum for our Hope residents of Aminjikarai. The Egmore Museum houses a vast collection of archeological artifacts, including fossilized remains of extinct fauna and avifauna, which gives our residents a thorough understanding of the history of plants and animals. In addition, it has ninth-century building remnants, ancient statues, and kitchenware. The collection also includes ancient Indian coins and banknotes from the last two to three centuries, which shed light on the region’s historical economics. The rich cultural tradition of Tamil Nadu from many years ago is brilliantly captured by the monuments. At the museum, our residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves, particularly when it came to looking at the paintings of extinct animals.
