Today, the Hope Early Intervention Center in Poonamallee, a unit of the Hope Public Charitable Trust, commemorated Autism Awareness Day with a series of engaging activities and programs. The event aimed to raise awareness about autism spectrum disorders and promote inclusivity and understanding within the community. Thiru S. Srinivasan, Differently Abled Welfare Officer, graced the occasion as the chief guest, alongside officials from the Differently Abled Welfare Department. The staff of the center orchestrated a special program themed around the 2024 Autism Awareness Day, highlighting the importance of acceptance and support for individuals with autism. A highlight of the event was a captivating music performance by student Vishal undergoing vocational training at the Hope Vocational Training Center, Annambedu showcasing his talents and creativity. As a gesture of support, educational kits were presented to all students by the distinguished guests, symbolizing the commitment to providing quality education and resources to individuals with autism. In a heartfelt address, the Differently Abled Welfare Officer emphasized the significance of creating an inclusive society where individuals of all abilities are embraced and empowered. The program concluded on a joyous note with fun-filled games. The Autism Awareness Day celebration at the Hope Early Intervention Center served as a reminder of the importance of empathy, acceptance, and advocacy for individuals with autism, reaffirming the organization’s dedication to fostering a more inclusive and supportive community.
