ONIENTATION AND INTERACTION PROGRAM BY ND STUDENTS FROM THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL COLLEGE

On 31.01.2025 As part of this month’s project, a team of MD students from the Occupational Therapy department of Sri Ramachandra Medical College visited our center. Their visit aimed to provide professional insights and practical guidance on rehabilitation and therapy for children with special needs. During the session, the students actively interacted with the children, observed their abilities, and engaged in discussions with parents. They shared valuable knowledge on occupational therapy techniques, early intervention strategies, and methods to enhance the children’s motor, cognitive, and social skills. Parents had the opportunity to express their concerns, ask questions, and receive expert advice on ways to support their children’s development at home.

This interactive session proved to be highly beneficial for both parents and children, as it not only created awareness but also emphasized the importance of early therapy and structured intervention. The session encouraged a collaborative approach to child development, fostering a stronger connection between medical professionals, caregivers, and children. We sincerely appreciate the efforts and dedication of the MD students and faculty from Sri Ramachandra Medical College for their valuable contribution. Their involvement has strengthened our ongoing mission to provide better support and rehabilitation for children with special needs.
