
On December 22, 2024, the Youth Red Cross Club from Velammal Engineering College organized a festive Christmas celebration at Hope Vocational and Residential Home for persons with intellectual disabilities, located in Annambedu. This heartwarming event was a wonderful opportunity for the residents to experience the joy and magic of the holiday season.The celebration began at 10:00 am and lasted until 12:00 pm, with a variety of engaging activities that brought smiles to the faces of the residents. The highlight of the event was the grand entry of Santa Claus, who distributed gifts and spread cheer among the residents.Other activities included craft work, a captivating puppet show, and an energetic dance and song session. The residents enthusiastically participated in these activities, showcasing their talents and creativity.The Youth Red Cross Club generously provided decoration items, adding a festive touch to the celebration. The event saw the participation of 20-25 students, who selflessly devoted their time to bring happiness to the residents.Hope Public Charitable Trust, which manages the Hope Vocational and Residential Home, is grateful to the Youth Red Cross Club and Velammal Engineering College for their kindness and support. This celebration was a wonderful reminder of the importance of inclusivity, compassion, and community service.
