Teacher’s Day 2024 in India, History and Significance:

Teacher’s Day is a special occasion dedicated to honoring and appreciating the contributions of educators around the world. To honors educators and recognize their significant contributions in empowering and educating society, in India, Teachers’ Day is annually celebrated on September Month.

Additionally, this date also marks the birth anniversary of DrSarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was the second President of India and a renowned scholar and philosopher, born on September 5, 1888.He proposed that instead of a personal celebration, the day should be dedicated to honoring teachers across the country. This idea was embraced, leading to the establishment of September 5 as Teachers’ Day in India.

It is a day for students to express gratitude for the dedication and hard work of their teachers, recognizing their influence in providing knowledge and values. On 5thSeptember, 2024. Thursday from 11 am to 1.00pm Teachers Day Celebrationsheld at Hope Vocational Training Centre, Kavya Garden, Annambedu Village, Tiruvallur District, Chennai – 600072.

Dr. Nagarani-Founder / Managing Trustee highlighted her experiences very beginning working as a teacher in Jaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Thiruninravur. She also became as witness that many children with ID and Autism rejected for admissions in the school. At the year 2003, this situation deep routed in her mind for initiating a special school for few children with ID at Avadi Municipality. Now we have   about 310 CHILDREN in our various projects at 3 districts. (thiruvallur,chennai and kancheepuram) All her success meant to her hard work and sincerity. The wellness of co-ordination and co-operation extended by all staff, well-wishers and donors supports.

In this occasion Dr. Nagarani Madam distributed welfare supports (5-kg Rice, 1-kg Dal, and food masala.new saree etc.) to 60 rural women in Annambeduand 50 mothers of the Autism children. (5-kg Rice, 1-kg Dal, and 1 saree with food masala etc.) All the staff participated in the joy of fun and games and then they expressed their personal experience and involvement in working with hope projects. Winners and runners of games received special appreciation and token of gifts. refreshments and lunch were arranged to all teachers and beneficiaries and it was a great joy.

Mr. Asokraj -Advisor, Mr. Rakesh Sharma- Administrator conveyed greetings and blessings to madam and assured full co-operation and co-ordination for the best future of Hope projects and activities. The same day on 5th September’ 2024, on behalf of Hope Public Charitable Trust, Dr. V.Nagarani had been formally invited to participate  in the formal program  Governor’s  Think  to Dare  at the Raj Bhavan. There were about 17- Teachers and Educationalists in the panel discussion on Prime Minister’s Schools for Raising India (PM-SHRI) the Governor said it was a very progressive initiate to schools for support of development of its infrastructure and promotion to quality education in India. Governor. Sri R.N. RAVI   also felicitated 17 teachers for their exemplary services to the nation.
