
Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College (Autonomous) was alive with eagerness on August 7, 2025 to witness the hosted by the Department of Psychology; The Investiture Ceremony of “PSYCHUB 25-26”. The ceremony was held in the Vallabhacharya Auditorium.
The ceremony was graced by the temperate individuals, Capt. Dr. S. Santhosh Baboo, the Principal of the College, Ms. R. Aswini, Head of the Department of Psychology, and Dr. Ashok Kumar Mundhra, Secretary of the College which demonstrated the value placed by the college towards the organized holistic development of students.
The highlights occurring during the ceremony were an informative and idealistic talk given by the Chief guest, Mr. V. Rakesh Sharma, an Administrator from the Hope Public Charitable Trust he elaborated on the objectives and vision of the Hope Public Charitable Trust, which is an example of the positive action each of us can take to make a positive difference to our community.
He made valuable connections with empathy and integrity, and what both signify as fundamental to create a compassionate world.
Crucially, he drew a powerful connection between empathy and integrity, emphasizing their indispensable role in building a truly compassionate world. He articulated how understanding and sharing the feelings of others (empathy) is the foundational step towards acting with unwavering moral principles (integrity). This powerful combination, he stressed, is what drives individuals and organizations to contribute meaningfully to society, ultimately strengthening the role of empathy in building strong integrity in society.
The investiture ceremony reminded all undergraduate students that their education in psychology is not solely focused on academics but also focused on practical purposes to promote a more ethical and caring society.
