What your Diwali donation provides

Nothing abstract — these are the four things the trust buys for every child.

  • New clothes and dresses

A new dress or shirt for each child to wear after the oil bath. For most of these children it is the only new clothing they get all year.

  • Sweets and savouries

A box each on Deepavali morning — the part every child asks about first.

  • Food and a festival meal

A proper Deepavali lunch cooked and served across all three shelter homes and three special schools.

  • Crackers and lamps

A safe, supervised celebration in the evening, run by staff who know every child by name.

Donate clothes, sweets or food directly

Not everyone wants to give money, and that is fine. New dresses and shirts in children's sizes, sweets, and provisions such as rice, oil and vegetables are all used directly for the children.

Please call 7358095515 before you buy — staff will tell you which sizes and quantities are still short, so nothing is wasted and no child is left out.
