On June 11th, a truly remarkable day unfolded at our HOPE Public Charitable Vocational Training Centre in Annambedu. We had the honour of hosting the Craftism Foundation a Bangalore-based organisation that champions inclusive creative handmade works. Their visit was not just a gesture of goodwill, but a deep engagement with our mission to empower children with special needs through vocational training and skill development.
The zonal manager and team from Craftism spent the day immersing themselves in the vibrant world of our centre, taking time to interact with our children, observe their creative processes, and appreciate the handcrafted products made with such dedication and heart. Their presence validated the efforts of our students and encouraged our staff to aim higher in our shared pursuit of inclusion and empowerment.
A major highlight of the visit was an insightful session led by the Craftism Foundation Manager, who offered expert guidance on marketing strategies tailored to promote the unique products created by our children. This knowledge-sharing moment was immensely valuable, opening new doors for visibility, market reach, and sustained growth.
The day was filled with important discussions that will help shape our path forward. We took a deep dive into product and material costing, exploring sustainable pricing methods that uphold both quality and value. Key findings from our baseline survey were also shared, offering a clear picture of our impact so far and highlighting areas for further strengthening. Most excitingly, the conversation moved towards future goals—particularly the potential for quick commerce collaborations, which could bring the talents of our children to more homes across greater distances with greater speed.
This visit from Craftism Foundation was not just a meeting it was a convergence of purpose, passion, and possibility. We extend our heartfelt thanks to their team for their wisdom, encouragement, and commitment to inclusive growth. Their visit has re-energized our vision and reaffirmed the importance of building a more inclusive and creative world, one handcrafted product at a time.
