In commemoration of World Mental Health Day and World Homeless Day 2025, Hope Public Charitable Trust organized a remarkable Mental Health Awareness Program at Chennai Central Railway Station, reaching out to hundreds of daily commuters with the heartfelt message “You Are Not Alone.”
The event aimed to break the stigma surrounding mental health, promote understanding, empathy, and social inclusion, and remind individuals that help and hope are always within reach. Volunteers, social workers, and mental health professionals from Hope Trust interacted with the public, distributed informative pamphlets, and offered guidance on mental well-being, early intervention, and available rehabilitation services
Simultaneously, the Trust observed World Homeless Day, emphasizing the shared mission of building a beggar-free Tamil Nadu. In collaboration with the Greater Chennai Corporation, the initiative created awareness about various special homes, rehabilitation centers, and welfare programs available for homeless persons and individuals with psychosocial disabilities. The campaign encouraged citizens to act compassionately to refer, support, and stand by those who have been left behind.
Both observances, held in one of the busiest public spaces in Chennai, symbolized a unified call to action to create a society that values mental health, restores dignity, and provides care for every individual regardless of their circumstance.
Through these efforts, Hope Public Charitable Trust reaffirmed its enduring commitment to building an inclusive and compassionate community, where no one is forgotten, every life is valued, and every person finds purpose, protection, and peace.
