ON 14.08.2025 KRISHNA JAYANTHI CELEBRATIONS @ HOPE EARLY INTERVENTION CENTRE FOR AUTISM, POONAMALLEE

The Hope Early Intervention Centre for Autism @ Poonamallee, was filled with devotion, joy, and festivity as the children and staff came together to celebrate Krishna Jayanthi with great enthusiasm. The event provided an opportunity for the little ones to experience the beauty of tradition while participating in cultural and devotional activities.

The centre was decorated with rangoli, flowers, and festive hangings, creating a divine atmosphere. The children, dressed as little Krishna and Radha, brought life to the celebration with their innocence and charm. Their bright costumes, tiny flutes, and peacock feathers added colour and excitement to the day.

The program began with a poojai, where children, along with staff members, offered prayers to Lord Krishna. This was followed by devotional bhajans that filled the hall with spiritual energy. Teachers gently explained the values of Krishna’s life – love, compassion, and truth – in a way the children could understand.

One of the most exciting parts of the celebration was the Uriyadi activity, where children joyfully tried to break the pot, symbolizing Krishna’s playful spirit. Their laughter and cheer created a lively and memorable moment for everyone present.

The celebration also included storytelling, where staff narrated simple tales from Krishna’s childhood, such as his fondness for butter and his playful mischiefs. These stories not only entertained the children but also introduced them to the essence of devotion and goodness.

The event concluded with the distribution of prasadam and sweets, which the children happily enjoyed. Parents and staff appreciated the celebration for giving the children an opportunity to learn about culture while engaging in joyful activities.

At the Hope Early Intervention Centre for Autism @ Poonamallee, such festivals are celebrated with the aim of nurturing cultural values, social interaction, and holistic development of children with special needs. This Krishna Jayanthi was a true blend of tradition, devotion, and happiness, leaving lasting memories in the hearts of all.
