HOPE PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST HOPE FOR HUMANITY STUDENTS PERFORMANCE REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER – 2020 HOPE CARE AND PROTECTION CENTRE FOR ABANDONED SPECIAL CHILDREN STUDENTS PERFORMANCE REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER 2020 INTRODUCTION: Students were taught Vocational skills, functional academics and co-circular activities for seven students in which their progresses are discussed and suggestions are given for planning further skills and teach them effectively.

VIRTUAL LEARNING AND GAMES In this month the students were taught moral values through virtual class by using overhead projector and gave an opportunity to play virtual Games it provided special interest for all the students and improved concentration power and it reduced some specific behavior problem like attention deficit and undesirable repetitive behaviors and all the students experienced a different perception of virtual games.

ASSESSMENT

In this month three Students were rescued from different places and were given admission. These students were assessed by using MDPS Scale to plan IEP (Individual Educational Plan) and to know the basic skill acquired. In the coming month skill will be taught to develop his functional academics and co-circular activities.

VOCATIONAL SKILLS PAPER FLOWER MAKING :

Students were trained in the following skills like cutting the paper pasting the parts appropriately to make a flower with paper, The students were able to do with help.

SKILL TRAINING IN GARDENING:

In this month students were trained in gardening skills like cleaning the garden area, picking up tiny weeds, watering and gently caring the seedlings and plants, gardening encourages the development of fine motor skills and concentration. The students have learned how to care for the plants properly which made the students a responsible persons.

FUNCTIONAL ACADEMICS READING AND WRITING:

Students were trained to read and write simple words, words from simple story books to use in the application situation. As a result of these trainings, students were able to write their name, identify the words but constant training must be given to use the words in generalized situation.

MATHS:

Students were trained to calculate the items cost in purchased bills as a result of this training it helped them to calculate the total amount of the purchased bill in application aspect now the students were able to add four digit numbers with the help of verbal clues and few students does simple addition without help so students must be given constant training to do simple addition and subtraction without help.

TIME:

Students were trained to do the work within the time frame. Now they are able to do the work within the time frame with help so students must be given constant training to do the work within the time frame without help.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITES PLAY THERAPY:

Students were taught simple indoor and outdoor games which helped to be physically fit. Our Hope home children are made to play to develop their fine motor and gross motor, it also helped them to increase their physical stamina.

DRAWING AND PAINTING:

Students were trained to paint different pictures in which they are able to select the suitable colour for the picture and also colour them neatly. As a result of this training their concentration power and learned the time frame to finish the task within the given time attention span were enhanced.

SKILL TRAINING FOR RESIDENT AT HOPE PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION SHELTER FOR WOMEN (MI) In this month the resident at HOPE PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION SHELTER FOR WOMEN (MI) Egmore learnt to make garlands they were taught the basic skills with the help of paper. Continuous training must be given to perform the skill without help.

CELEBRATION:

In this month students celebrated Christmas all enjoyed the different lights and songs with happiness. State Award for the “Best NGO – 2019” Hope Public Charitable Trust has been awarded with “Best NGO Award” by the Government of Tamilnadu on the Occasion of “World Disability Day” by Honourable Chief Minister of TamilNadu Thiru “EDAPADI PALANISAMY”. The Honourable CM appreciated Dr.V.NAGARANI, Founder/Managing Trustee of the trust towards the contribution for the welfare activities of Differently Abled Children, Economically Poor & Destitute Women held at CM office on 21.12.2020 at Secretarial, St George Fort, Chennai. CONCLUSION: The Vocational skills, domestic skills, functional academics and co-circular activities were taught, all students are able to do the learnt skill if constant training is given to the students they can also do the next level of skills without help. In this month specially the students were taught to do paper flowers and if constant training is given we can employ special employees in a various sectors and can achieve higher level skills.
