Why a man chooses his faith over humanity has its very individual reasoning. It is not the Temple alone that collects donations, other holy places gather it as a charity. Both temples and orphanages have the same purpose with different names. Some temples send food to the orphanages. Many people are not aware that temples even have trusts sponsoring the education for the underprivileged.
